This course requires an enrolment key Staff software update - for TAFE staff in Horticulture, Garden Design, Environment This course is designed to run over three days and is aimed at developing skills in the use of a range of computer software. Tuition will be by a combination of face-to-face learning and eLearning resources. Outcomes: We hope that by the end of our sessions, you will have gained in a number of ways viz: you will be able to maintain your files and computer more efficiently, mastered the use a new piece of software and hopefully become enthusiastic about eLearning. We believe that implemented properly, it can free up your time so you can concentrate more on the thing we all enjoy - one-on-one teaching! The course is divided into three parts. A module updating computer skills. If possible, we would like you to complete it before we meet for face-to-face sessions [allow about 10% of your time], An in-depth look at one software application - chosen from an extensive list of software tools which includes CAD, Spreadsheets, Desk Top Publishing, llustrative graphics, web site design etc. [70%], A module showing how to set up and utilise eLearning software - Moodle [20%]. To start, please complete the Login Sheet assignment below. When you have done that, take module 1 'Update Computing Skills'.
